Otsuko Kuchiki is a minor antagonist that appears in Danganronpa Kirigiri. She is one of the Victims of the Twelve Zodiac Duel Noir Challenge and one of the culprits of the Hades Aquarium Cases.
History[]
Prior Life[]
Otsuko was the eldest daughter of three girls in the Kuchiki family. However, her mother was murdered ten years ago during a robbery. Following her mothers death, a college-attending Otsuko and her father, Kaei Kuchiki, would take upon a Duel Noir against those responsible after being approached by the Victims Catharsis Committee. Thus, they become the culprits of the Hades Aquarium Duel Noirs.
Twelve Zodiac Duel Noir Challenge[]
Unfortunately for Otsuko, Licorne intercepts her before she can even kill his target and apprehends him. From there, Otsuko, and her father are kept captive in Castle Ryuzōji with three others until the challenge is over, which from there they would be turned to the police. However, two days later, she and the others are freed by Tōya Tsutsumi, who is a fellow Victim of the challenge. He promises them a cut of his winnings if these captives prevent Yui Samidare from reaching him. Thus, the former captives order the children residing in the castle to block the entrances to the castle.
During this time, Otsuko and Seika Kumano would go in the castle's kitchen to make lunch for the others. Both were unaware of Licorne and Yui having snuck into the castle already, and thus were caught off-guard when the former attacked. Using some wire he threw a loop over both of their necks, turned around, crouched before finally pulling down on them. The pulled wire would pinch their carotid arteries, causing them to pass out, effectively defeating both in one move. Licorne would wrap both of their hands and feet in wire.
With the challenge end, its implied that Otsuko, and the other captives for that matter, would be given over to the authorities.
Appearance[]
Otsuko is described as being a young woman in her early twenties.
Personality[]
Like all other Victims, she was willing to to resort to murder over the one who had wronged him and his family. With her father also being a Victim of the same Duel Noir, if she was aware of it, then it could imply she has no problem working with family in order to commit murder on those that wrong them. Given that she was willing to cook for the others, it could express she has some prowess for it, with Yui even noting what they were making smelled good.
